George Stavropoulos’ obsession with music started at an early age. Influenced by his parent’s old vinyl records that consisted of 70’s funk artists as well as artists from his native country, Greece, he first laid his hands on a pair of turn tables at the tender age of 14. Constantly updating his music library, two years later he joined a Mobile Disc Jocky company where he was the top working DJ being booked every weekend for private events around the bay area. After falling in love with the inspiration and energy music gave him, he got his break in the club scene at the age of 18 when one of San Francisco’s top promoters booked him to spin at one of his monthly events at a local hot spot downtown. It was during this time where the name DJ G-STAV was born and the rest is history.
